Unable to open database - random error

Hi Forum,

Lately we've expirenced issues regarding corrupted/unable to open databases. The message appears when using built-in functions such as Duplicate, Top Records, etc. IDEA executes the function, but the database it was executed from displays the "Unable to open database" error, and the file can no longer be used. Attempting to open the database on another computer also doesn't help; the exact same error appears.

I should emphasize that this doesn't happen all the time, only occasionally, but quite randomly and, from our perspective, often enough to impede our work – several times a day.

Do you know what may be cause of this problem?

Hi Maciej,

No, I haven't heard of this problem before.  I would suggest you contact Caseware support to discuss it with them as they might have a solution or know what the problem might be.
