The Benford tests that are part of the IS Fraud Tool Kit take the Benford tests one step further. In IDEA you can only perform these tests on the entire file. The tests within the tool kit allow you to take a file and perform a Benford test on a field, such as performing the Benford test on the Vendor field in which the results would be a Benford analysis on every vendor within the database. If you performed this within IDEA you would have to create a separate file for each vendor and then run the Benford test on it. This test will save you time plus you may find results per vendor that might be hidden if the test is only performed on the entire file.
