Formatting Collums, for Appending purpose

Hello everybody,
I am having difficulty in appending multiple sheets importing from excel. Why i tried to join these sheet together, the system notify me about the field format is different. Is there a way or any tips to mass formatting multiples sheets at one? Since having 50+ sheets to append might be time consuming.

Hi Trung,

I did have a script that I did for someone that converts all the fields into character before the append.  I will try and find that script and post it for you.

I have this issue quite often. Attached is the version of the script Brian wrote that I use when I encounter this problem.
