IDEA temporary files (.tvm) can I delete them? what do they do?

Hello, I was clearing space from my hard drive and realized i Have around 40 gb of temprary files and almost all of them .tvm files created from bases from my IDEA projects. When do this temporary files get created? what do they do? can I delete them?

They are temporary files from the Report Reader.  They should be deleted automatically but it seems that is not happening in your case.  So you can go ahead and delete them.
