IDEA V9 - what do you like or dislike?

As V9 should be coming out soon, I thought I would start a thread where we can discuss our likes and dislikes of the new version of IDEA.

The implementation of Local Libraries, would be enhanced if you could set where they are located.  I.e. if your in an organisation with a network and you share, say, custom functions, it would be nice to point to a network folder.  This would allow you and your colleges to share functions and only need to update one locastion to add/edit functions etc.
I would like an easy way for these functions to show up in the Custom Functions list, instead of copying them into the current project.
Another option would be to add another category Network Folders, with option to set where you want them stored.
Note: We use standalone desktop versions and don't have access to Idea Server. Currently we use a small batch file to refresh these, but would prefer an option where this is not required.

In version 9 in the Data grid if you have an editable field you can copy a fields data, but can't paste it into another record into the same editable field. (This was available in version 8.)
This just leads to frustration having to type and retype the same thing into multiple comment field records. This is helpful if you want to add some notes and then later select them, i.e. add a tag note.

Hello Rex,

Welcome to the site.  I will send your suggests over to IDEA.  I am not sure if they will add the local library function as what you are looking for is built in with the server version of IDEA.

I agree with the editable fields, it would be great if they put back the paste option.

I've just had some feedback from Idea, there is a work around. Use "Ctrl+Shift+V" to paste.

Hi Rex, thanks for sharing that info.  I just tried it out on V9 and it works.
