Split and vlookup

Dear All,
I'm looking for a formula or a script that help me to :
First, split the dial code (caracter value ) from 8 digit to 1 in the file A, Second; perform a VLOOKUP on the File B of these spliter fields.

Hi Brian,
Here's I attached you what I usualy do it in IDEA using a macro; so my goal is to make it more useful as possible by -for example- using a dialog box.

Yes I am doing better, I am back to work now and I am going for a follow-up with my doctor tomorrow so I think things are healing well.

Try this one out.  It is your code but now you select the files and fields from a dialog.  Let me know if you have any problems.
