Unable to Open Database error

Have been trying to open an IDEA database file from within IDEA and when I try to open the file an error box comes up with the statement "Unable to Open Database". All other database files in the working directory can be opened except for this one database. Could the database be corrupt? I have tried renaming the database in Windows, moving the database to another folder location and nothing seems to fix this error.
Any help would be appreciated :)

Yes, there is the possibility that it can become corrupt.  I have seen this happen when I have run scripts on it and the script didn't close properly or the script was creating lots of fields.   Is this database yours?  Do you know the history of it, was it created through a script or just through IDEA tasks?  I don't think I have ever seen one get corrupt throught the IDEA tasks, it has mostly been through badly written scripts (or my scripts when I am developing them).

Ok thanks Brian! The database is not mine it was processed by another individual who is not longer with our organization unfortunately. I will have to re-work the database from the other source databases to re-create it again :(  Such is life hehe.
