Create a Preview of Extraction using indexed Actionfield

Hi,
i need a snippet to create a preview of an extraction. IdeaScript only records the complete macro an creates a new file.
I hope somebody can help me...

Hi Gerold,

I am not sure what you mean about creating a preview of an extraction.  Are you refering to using the criteria to create a filter?

If so IDEAScript can only do the extract it can't do the preview.  It can create action fields on a database where you can click on a field and get a preview of the supporting trnasactions.

i want a macro that creates a preview before it creates an extraction (just like the preview after clicking on actionfields). That's the simple description for the problem.

HI Gerold,

Unfortunately as far as I know that can't be done using IDEAScript, it can only create files it can't do previews.  If you have 10.3 and know Python there might be ways to get around that but my Phthon knowledge hasn't gotten there yet, but I am working on it.

Hi,
I am resurrecting an old (unsolved) topic.  Someone recently shared the attached script with me.  It can be used to preview a database.
