Find & Find in IDEA
Hi,
A closer look at 'DATA' under IDEA's toolbar will reveal 'Find' under Fields and 'Find' under Search.
'Find' under Fields allows you to pinpoint and locate a specific field in your active database. So in a Payroll File if you click on 'Find' and select 'Basic', your view in the active database will take you directly to the field 'Basic'. Very useful when applying a quick field search to large field databases.
On the other hand 'Find' under Search is similar to the Quick-Filter in Excel. You can write a criteria under 'Find' like Basic > 50000 to identify the first transaction in the active database which meets this criteria.
