Setting / Changing Default Weekends in IDEA

The default weekend setting in IDEA is for Saturday and Sunday.
 
So as an example, when you apply a Gap Detection on Collection Date in a Collection Management System data file to identify dates on which Collections have not been made, by checking the box Ignore holidays in Gap Detection on Collection Date, Saturday's and Sunday's will get excluded from the missing Collection Date listing for the review period.
 
Now if we need to change the default weekend setting from Saturday and Sunday to let us say Friday and Saturday we can navigate to File in the IDEA menu toolbar and click on Options.
 
Under IDEA Options click on Weekends (Date Options) under the System tab and uncheck Sunday and check Friday. This will ensure Friday and Saturday weekend checks going forward in IDEA.
