I have a rookie question. I cannot seem to get my stratification to work. I have attached a screen shot of my setting and the error message. would anyone know what I am doing wrong?

The reason is that you are running this on a character field and not a number field. Numbers as characters don't sort the same way as a number. In a numeric character field 199999 is less than 2 since it sorts by the first character and not the number. From your stratification it looks like you are trying to do some type of aging? If that is the case I suggest turning your SERVICE_TYPE field into a numeric field and then you could run your strafication. If you keep it as a character field you would have to enter the numbers in this order but I don't think you will get the results you are expecting.
