Difficult PDF File Imports

Hi
I am trying to import a number of difficult PDFs but am running into many problems.
-The PDFs dont have identical alignment of fields for trapping.-The fields recorded aren't always identical-Some data lines ocasioanally run accorss multiple lines-Difficulty eliminating headers/footers when records cross pages
Is it possible to import files structured in this way?
See sample image
Kind Regards

Hi Sfavell and welcome to the site.

It is hard to give you advice without seeing more of the report.  From the one transaction you have shown, if it is in the same format for each employee I might yous the Date of Engagement as the base layer, you can use the Date of Engagement as your trap.  I would then create additional layers for Section, Advertised, Salary, Classification, Location, Position Details, Name and Number.  For the additional layers under attributes select blank cells and then select Use Value from previous record.  For items that have multiple lines you can use the Multi-line option in Attributes.  You might have to play with what to use to end the field on, it it possible that it might bring in more info (such as the -------) that you might have to clean-up once you import the file into IDEA.

Hopefully this will help you get started on this import.

Good luck.
