Let's say you have generated a list of 50 high value (outlier) employee travel claims while performing Travel Analytics in IDEA. Now you wish to save the in between lot of high value claims into a separate file i.e. between the two extremes. Top Records Extraction and Bottom Records Extraction will assist you with the end points i.e. highest and lowest claim amounts. However to get the in between claim amounts you can simply select the rows of your choice within the active IDEA database, then right click on the selection and choose Save as Selected.
This will automatically convert your selection to an independent extracted child file within IDEA.
