How to compare data over years in Idea

I am new to idea and need help.
 
I have data for different years in different files.  so for yr 1 - data is in file 1, yr 2 in file 2 and so on. If I have to create trend for the last 5 years and run some analysis how would I go about doing that?

Hello Amar,

There is a trend analysis feature in IDEA found on the Analysis ribbon in the explore group. Choose Statistics from this group then trend to start your analysis.

Prior to running the analysis you may want to review the Advanced Statistical Methods case study pdf located in the documentation folder under the IDEA instal directory on your HDD. If you have a direct install to C:\ on your machine you will find it here:

C:\Program Files\CaseWare IDEA\IDEA\Documentation

You will need to append your five years of data into one IDEA file prior to running the trend analysis feature.
